The Mexican Institute of Water Technology (IMTA) is a decentralized public institution that focuses on the national and regional challenges associated with water management. It outlines new approaches in technological research and development, in order to protect this resource and allocate it efficiently and equally among different users.
The objectives of the Institute are:
- Contribute to the sustainable management of water through knowledge, technology, training of human resources and innovation.
Incorporate the water sector into the knowledge society.
- Create a high added value for the institutions of the water sector through knowledge, the creation and adaptation of technologies and the supply of highly specialised technological services.
- Promote the development of water science and technology, especially through the training of highly qualified personnel, specialists or postgraduates.
In order to achieve that, IMTA has specific capabilities and competencies that give it a competitive advantage and allow it to add value to the products and services it offers to its customers and users.
